January 31 2016 Weekly Sun Scope We Live by the Sun

General for Week Commencing: Monday 01 February 2016

   Aries Monday 01 February 2016  Mar 21 - Apr 19
The Moon will have a big influence this week, whether it’s helping to fire up your financial passions and fighting spirit and some of that enthusiasm you moved into the year with, evoking a sense of what you can, with what you’ve got, from where you’re at midweek or helping to bring things together professionally over the weekend. What you’re starting to realise is that 2016 is a year where you’ll be juggling many hats, that much of this is about setting things in motion in a way that is partly set and forget and partly that once launched all your effort is no longer required. This is especially so when it comes to your new professional year, for while there is a new sense of urgency to tie up loose ends, this is being stirred on by the fact that you’re starting to realise that life can’t be all work and no play.
   Taurus Monday 01 February 2016  Apr 20 - May 20
As if the planets were fighting for your attention, your relationships jump the queue, demanding your attention from the get go in a way that could feel overwhelming, with a sense that others needs are coming before your own and therefore evoking a need to fight back. However, this is likely to be less intimidating than it feels and is simply the Moon and Mars getting together to fuel your emotional responses, passions and fighting spirit. If you didn’t before, by the time you reach midweek you should have a good sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. While the Sun is already shining the solar spotlight on your new career situation, matters and options in an effort to get your new professional year off the ground, this is half hearted at best. This is more a week for exploring your options.
   Gemini Monday 01 February 2016  May 21 - Jun 21
While work, relationship, financial, career, home and family and even adventurous matters are all fighting for your attention this week, giving you plenty of balls to juggle, they’re doing it in an orderly way. Forces on all these fronts would have your attention 24/7 if they could, but it’s the fact that the Moon will spend the week progressing through these important areas of your chart that has the planets happy to wait their turn, knowing it’s far better to have your full attention for a few days than scattered attention for 7 days. Work matters get their turn in the early days of the week, relationship matters midweek and financial matters over the weekend. Meanwhile career, home and adventurous matters will have to fit in when they can, but fortunately on all those fronts the planets concerned are playing a long game.
   Cancer Monday 01 February 2016  Jun 22 - Jul 22
While there are a lot of forces fighting for your attention this week, the real competition isn’t where you think it is. On the surface it may feel like this is a competition to find a balance between work and play, but in reality forces on both those fronts have already agreed to work together and have even divided the week up nicely. Playful forces have the early days of the week and from mid week there’ll be a chance to become more work focused. Where there is some real competition for your attention is on the playful and relationship fronts, for while your relationships want all of your attention, following your own and heart and especially your romantic and creative passions is fast becoming impossible to ignore. Normally a people pleaser, you’ll be starting to ask ‘what about me’? All your relationships have to be a mix of give and take.
   Leo Monday 01 February 2016  Jul 23 - Aug 22
While there is a lot of focus on work matters this week and rightfully so, with everything starting to come together and the call going out to hurry up the process of getting your new working year up to speed and on the right course, you won’t get away with keeping your work hat on 24/7. With the early days of the week in particular an important few days for home and family matters and a real battle to find a balance between work and play midweek, some smart time management is required. You’re starting to realise just how many balls you’re juggling and here you have a choice whether to reduce the number of balls or become more proficient in your juggling skills. Either way something has to change, with that choice being yours. You can have it all but the price you have to pay is smart time management and not leaving it to chance.
   Virgo Monday 01 February 2016  Aug 23 - Sep 22
Despite the fact that the Sun, spending his second full week in your work sector but the first on his own, has begun the process of getting your new professional year up to speed, a battle to maintain a balance between work and play is less of a problem than you might think. This is something the professional gods aren’t going to argue with and if anything support, for it buys them time to focus on their main aim this week, which is to hold things back and focus more on just observing, preparing for an authentic starting point. For until Mercury returns to your work sector later next week and Venus just days later you haven’t yet got your head and heart in the game. This is a chance to blow off steam and have some fun before fully committing to this new working year.
   Libra Monday 01 February 2016  Sep 23 - Oct 23
There is a real push this week to get home and family matters up to speed, not from the standpoint of ticking things off your ‘to do’ list or anything practical that needs to be achieved, but more in terms of deciding where your head and heart stand. In short it’s time to start taking a stand, for your home and family life and matters are the hub that everything else will orbit this coming year and get that right and everything else will flow. Work, money, your relationships and everything else will all come back to how this impacts on your home and family life. Until you have your heart and mind set on your priorities and where your head and heart stand, everything else in your life will feel up in the air. Once you’ve set your priorities you’ve got all year to carry them out, so it’s more about knowing in your mind the course you want things to take.
   Scorpio Monday 01 February 2016  Oct 24 - Nov 21
While you are likely to be juggling many balls this week, so too is everyone else, making the one theme that comes through stronger this week even more important. It’s all about communication, communication and then more communication. The communication gods themselves are throwing everything they can into the importance of having the communication lines open and whether it’s on the relationship front, at work, with your children, family or anyone you encounter, it’s time to take down the barriers and connect. To begin with you might feel like this is unravelling, for what Scorpios are very good at is hiding their own feelings and emotions, saying what you need or want to say, when you’re ready. Forget that in the early days of the week, for words will get away from you and will be said before you have a chance to stop them. As it turns out, that is in fact a good thing.
   Sagittarius Monday 01 February 2016  Nov 22 - Dec 21
While there is a lot of focus on income matters this week, even the money gods know that it’s not just about the money and that if you do try and make it about the money, you’ll miss the point and most likely the boat. For while Venus and Mercury, now in their final two weeks in your income sector, are doing their best to get the money moving, working with the forces that will keep the momentum going on both the income and career fronts all year, they are working at a level that is even deeper. If you take money out of the equation it becomes more about a sense of being valued, knowing what you’re worth and feeling that others are appreciating and validating your worth. You can’t expect more on the income front and let others walk over you in other areas of your life. This has to encompass all the currencies in your life.
   Capricorn Monday 01 February 2016  Dec 22 - Jan 19
By the time you move into the new week your birthday month had ended 11 days earlier, yet it’s only then that you’re finally getting down to the nuts and bolts of making your choices, decisions and plans for the coming year and getting a sense of what you want. Over the course of the week Venus and Mercury, the planets that rule the heart and mind, will not only work together to make their final two weeks in Capricorn count, but are calling on resources that give you the courage to embrace changes, tap into the spirit of rebellion and think and look outside the square. You’re waking up to the fact that the stars and life itself may incline and influence the conditions you face, but the only one that captains your life moving forward is you. It’s time to decide what you want and make the mental shifts that allow you to walk the talk.
   Aquarius Monday 01 February 2016  Jan 20 - Feb 18
With the first full week of your birthday month behind you, you would think there would be more urgency when it comes to laying down the foundations for this new solar year, making choices, decisions and plans and in general getting your act together. Instead there are no such demands and even though the Moon will return to your sign at the end of the week to begin the lead up for next week’s New Moon even with this there is not only no urgency, but the Sun himself is actively telling you not to. With Mercury not returning to your sign until later next week and Venus not until the week after, until heart and mind have become engaged anything you do decide on now is jumping the gun. Instead this is more about staying in the moment and focusing on what for you is an authentic starting point.
   Pisces Monday 01 February 2016  Feb 19 - Mar 20
While the final weeks of your old solar year will always see the wind taken out of your sails and bring a demand for time out to hear yourself think, you’ll find that while you have permission to navel gaze when you want to, there is no demand to. It seems that life is just a little too exciting for that, with even the professional gods standing back and not demanding that you put your professional hat on until midweek. It seems that the weekend forgot to end and while that’s good news if you can manage to swing a long weekend, for the majority of us this may require some juggling. For in the early days of the week the Moon is not only fuelling a sense of wanderlust, curiosity and adventure during a visit to an adventurous part of your chart, but is fuelling a passion for adventure and a hunger for life’s richer experiences that needs no encouragement.

January 24 2016 Weekly Sun Scopes We Live by the Sun

General for Week Commencing: Monday 25 January 2016

   Aries Monday 25 January 2016  Mar 21 - Apr 19
A battle to find a balance between work and play is underway, with Monday delivering you right to the middle of the battlefield. For while Monday is Venus’ first full day in your career sector and with Mercury turning direct here on Tuesday the professional tide is turning, with a Full Moon in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart underway the professional gods have some stiff competition. This is a Lovers Moon, but if you listen closely you’ll sense that there is something serious behind this and that while the Moon will leave on Tuesday, that this won’t be the last you’ll hear from playful and romantic forces. The Fun Police are keeping an eye on you, especially as you’re likely to have your work hat back on in earnest by midweek. The message coming through loud and clear is a need for balance.

   Taurus Monday 25 January 2016  Apr 20 - May 20
While the Sun’s first full week in your career sector has brought you to the official start of your new professional year, with the Sun always shining the solar spotlight on your career situation, matters and options at this time of year, there are safeguards in place to ensure you don’t jump in too deep, too soon. By the time the Sun returned to your career sector this time last year things were already well underway, heart and mind were engaged and there was already a sense of urgency in the air. This year you’re not at that point yet, with time to explore your options. While the Full Moon underway as you move into the new week is likely to create some work/life balance tension, chances are this is something you’re already looking at. With a sense of curiosity and adventure in the air you’re not ready yet to let life become all work and no play.

   Gemini Monday 25 January 2016  May 21 - Jun 21
When Venus left your relationship sector over the weekend she left you with a clear sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you, but it’s on Monday that the real journey begins. How auspicious then that you should start the week with the Moon in your communication sector but more importantly that the first Full Moon of 2016 is underway. As you embark on a major relationship journey, one that will take the rest of this year and all but the final days of 2017, having the communication lines open was always essential, but it’s something that until now you’ve had no support for. While the Moon will leave your communication sector on Tuesday, before leaving there’s a chance for a real breakthrough. There will be plenty of distractions on the home, work and relationship fronts, so make communication a priority during those early days.

   Cancer Monday 25 January 2016  Jun 22 - Jul 22
There is going to be a lot of focus on money matters in the early days of the week and potentially a lot of intensity and even some financial tension, though this mainly came to a head over the weekend and will ease back during the early days of the week. The Sun’s return to your financial sector last Thursday was always going to put the spotlight on money matters, bringing you to the start of your annual financial review. However, it was the Moon’s return to your income sector on Sunday, position here in the early days of the week and the Full Moon this creates that might be a mixed blessing. To start with this could fuel any financial tension, but on the other hand this could act as a trigger for an income/and or financial breakthrough. The early days of the week will be significant for income, work and career matters.

   Leo Monday 25 January 2016  Jul 23 - Aug 22
As you move into the new week a lot of the things you thought were urgent and may become more urgent as the week progresses will have to be put on hold during the early days of the week. Even Venus’ return to your work sector over the weekend and the turnaround on the work front possible this week will have to be put on hold and even the start of your annual relationship review is not so much being put on hold, but put in its place. What has barged itself to the top of the queue is a Full Moon that is underway as you move into the new week, the first of 2016 but falling in Leo an important milestone in your current solar year. This brings you to the halfway point of this current solar year, with a chance to revisit your own needs and intentions. This is a chance to ask ‘what about me’?

   Virgo Monday 25 January 2016  Aug 23 - Sep 22
Don’t be surprised if your energies are at a low ebb in the early days of the week, with a sense that the wind has been taken out of your sails, for it’s simply a Full Moon bringing a need to step back, finding the time to hear yourself think. That this comes just as your new working year is off to an official start is both expected and unexpected. At some point during the Sun’s month long visit to your work sector a Full Moon in an intuitive and imaginative part of your chart will challenge things, creating some work tensions but also checking that you’re not buying into a rush mentality. What is unexpected is for this to fall so early in the Sun’s month long visit, but is a reminder from the get go of a need to pace yourself and work smarter. By midweek you’ll feel a lot more like your old self, but a balance between work and play will be a must.

   Libra Monday 25 January 2016  Sep 23 - Oct 23
With no planetary activity in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, but after so much was invested last year, a Full Moon that is underway here in the early days of the week is a chance to connect. Even the Moon’s normal monthly visits will trigger the laws of synchronicity, making it much more likely to find yourself in the right place at the right time and to experience serendipitous moments and/or encounters. Yet as a Full Moon this brings the element of fate into play, with the early days of the week in particular needing to happen spontaneously. This comes just as matters of the heart get a major boost and the things close to home become even more important. While there are signs that your new professional year is starting to gain momentum, life itself is offering up too many options to embrace this just yet.

   Scorpio Monday 25 January 2016  Oct 24 - Nov 21
Monday was always destined to be a powerful day for income matters, with Saturn’s first full day on his own your income sector bringing you to a point where empowered and confident the real journey can begin, but support from the professional gods turns this into an opportunity for a breakthrough. With Uranus coming to the end of his first full month in direct motion in your work sector on Tuesday and support between income and work forces building, this was always going to be the point where you’re ready to get this new working year off the ground. To begin the week with the Moon in your career sector is beyond fortuitous and the good timing extends beyond simply sharpening your professional instincts are a crucial time for income and work matters. As a Full Moon this has the power to kick start your new professional year.

   Sagittarius Monday 25 January 2016  Nov 22 - Dec 21
Despite the fact that you’ve reached an important week for income matters, in fact so important that it’s game changing, with a real turnaround possible and also an important week for cementing your professional momentum and approach, you’re likely to experience a severe case of Mondayitis. In fact, this is beyond a case of Mondayitis and is an all out attempt by the spirit of adventure to ensure you don’t get so caught up in your new professional year and all the happenings of life to forget a sense of wanderlust, curiosity and adventure you spent so much of last year cultivating. The Moon’s first visit to an adventurous part of your chart for the year was always going to bring a sense of wanderlust, curiosity and adventure into play, but moving into the week with a Full Moon playing out here will challenge your excuses in every possible way.

   Capricorn Monday 25 January 2016  Dec 22 - Jan 19
The Sun’s first full week in your income sector was always going to make it important to move into the week with your money hat on, but with the focus on income and earnings matters. Barging its way into the Sun’s early days in your income sector is the first Full Moon of 2016, which is already in play in your financial sector as you move into the new week. To begin with this may see financial tensions running high, but by the time the Moon leaves on Tuesday, as well as leaving you with your financial instincts sharp, this is likely to have brought a new sense of determination on both the income and financial fronts. It was just last Thursday that your birthday month came to an end, yet it’s only now that you’re finally getting your heart and mind on the same page and around your options.

   Aquarius Monday 25 January 2016  Jan 20 - Feb 18
The Sun’s return to Aquarius last Thursday makes this the first full week of your birthday month and new solar year, something that is likely to have begun in all but name earlier in the year. It was the week that Mercury spent earlier in the month and the time spent during the course of 2015 exploring your real needs and priorities that allows you to move forward without too many surprises. Don’t be alarmed if the week appears to get off to a bad start or get too worried by any personal and/or relationship tension, especially in the early days of the week. The first Full Moon of 2016 is underway as you move into the new week and while it may be putting your personal and relationship needs into conflict, with support from communication forces this brings with it the potential for a breakthrough.

   Pisces Monday 25 January 2016  Feb 19 - Mar 20
Any week that begins with a Full Moon in your work sector unfolding is going to require you to have your professional hat on from the get go and especially as Monday is Saturn’s first full day on his own in your career sector. Just as the push to get your new professional year up to speed and on the right track ends, a Full Moon in your work sector gives things the push start that not only work matters, but income and career matters can benefit from as well. Across all three fronts, the early days of the week provide an opportunity to draw a new line in the sand, ready to commit to this new professional year. However, you won’t get away with keeping your professional hat on 24/7, with some reminders in the weekend on the importance of having a balance between work and play. There is also a greater need for time to hear yourself think.

David Bowie - The Astrology of Bowie and who he could have been in a past life.

Bowie is a fucking genius.  This guy is the stuff legends are made out of.  I found a couple things interesting when I looked at his chart.

The first thing that struck me were the amount of planets above the horizon.  This guy was definitely not a wall flower.  Anytime anyone has the majority of their planets above the horizon means they are very outgoing.  They are seen by the world.

The venus conjunct his MC showed great potential for career success and much love and/or money to him in the area of career, status, aim in life, aspirations, public reputation, and life goal.

And if you look real hard Bowie has a yod.  . Yod is a rare astrological aspect that involves any three planets or points in the horoscope that form an isoceles triangle. This phenomenon occurs when two planets are sextile (60° aspect) to each other, and both are then quincunx (150° aspect) to a third. A Yod is also called "the finger of God". Often times prodigies are found with Yods.  The tip of his yod is his Uranus,  in his 5th house of creativity giving it an eccentric flare or style all his own to his 12th house sun and his 9th house Jupiter.

The other thing that struck me were mars conjunct sun.  When you meet someone with Mars conjunct Sun, they have a presence about them like no other.  This is a guy that would probably walk in a room and wouldn't have to say a single word and everyone would stop what they were doing...

If you look at his saturn, it's retrograde.  They say when saturn is retrograde in the natal chart, the soul comes back to perfect something.  It's a re-do of a former life but they are here to do better.  So I got to thinking.... Dark Composer possibly bisexual.... hmmm who did I come up with?

Yup the famous Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.  So I pulled up his chart. Check this out.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky also has the sun conjunct mars in the 12th house same as Bowie.  I think they kind of look alike too.  I'm not psychic so I'm not making any claims to anything but when I looked at Tchaikovsky's chart it definately made me go hmmmmm.... I wonder.

Bowie was such a class act his last act was his most genius... I guess I just love 12th house/8th house deep people but here is his Lazarus video for those who missed it:

Bowie had a brilliant mind to the very end.  Should you choose to ever come back to this planet earth Mr Bowie, I really don't know how you are going to top this life. Thanks for letting us be a part of it.

RIP we all love you xxoo

January 10 2016 Weekly Astrology Horoscopes We Live by the Sun

General for Week Commencing: Monday 11 January 2016

   Aries Monday 11 January 2016  Mar 21 - Apr 19
It is hard to believe that we are moving into just the second full week of 2016, so much has already developed and is still developing. This week sees an extraordinary mirroring of developments on both the work and career fronts, but also the link between the two. While Mercury is spending his first full week in retrograde motion in your career sector and Jupiter his first full week in retrograde motion in your work sector, on both fronts there are not only forces in direct motion keeping an eye on the road ahead, but impressive forces in their own right. On both fronts alignments will bring the past and future together, while an alliance between these two areas of your chart will also be forged. Yet from the get go Venus will be fighting to keep a sense of adventure alive.
   Taurus Monday 11 January 2016  Apr 20 - May 20
When Mercury retrograded back out of your career sector over the weekend it might have put the launch of this new professional year on hold, but it’s given you a valuable chance to get your head in the game and around your options before the Sun returns next week. It’s the Moon’s return to your career sector in the early days of the week that brings a chance to pull all the available information together on both the work and career fronts, ready for a fresh start next week. However, apart from that this week’s stars will be doing their best to make the most of the reprieve this has given you, with an alliance of playful and adventurous forces not only coming together, but across both fronts creating an opportunity for new beginnings and second chances.
   Gemini Monday 11 January 2016  May 21 - Jun 21
From the get go it’s clear that the focus is on money matters, with the Moon wrapping up the weekend’s New Moon in your financial sector, while ensuring your financial instincts are sharp as Mercury retrogrades back in for a double dip visit. At the very point where you’re ready to commit to your new financial year, to new resolutions and the journey ahead, Mercury has opened the door to second chances and an opportunity to spend time back at the drawing board, with a smart head for money and 20/20 hindsight to draw on. By the time the Sun and Mercury align on Friday you’ll see this as a valuable dual approach. However, you’ve also reached an important week for home and family matters and an especially auspicious and serendipitous week for friendship and relationship building.
   Cancer Monday 11 January 2016  Jun 22 - Jul 22
As is often the case it’s the Moon’s movements as you track through the week that will make an already vibrant week even more vibrant, managing to cross the points where some remarkable conditions are playing out, exaggerating your emotional responses and giving you an intuitive read on the things you need to pay attention to. You’ll begin the week with the Moon in your relationship sector, wrapping up the weekend’s New Moon just as Mercury has returned, together opening the door to new beginnings and second chances. Yet on Monday, two days after Mercury retrograded back out of your financial sector, the Moon will return to make sense of a short period of discovery before the Sun returns next week. The Moon will then continue to track an important week for both work and career matters.
   Leo Monday 11 January 2016  Jul 23 - Aug 22
While an alliance between Venus and Uranus will do its best to keep a sense of romance and playfulness alive, something that will really come into its own over the weekend, the week itself is dominated by not only an alliance between income and work forces, but some extraordinary conditions that are mirrored on both fronts. For as Jupiter spends his first full week in retrograde motion in your income sector he’ll align with the North Node here for the first time in 36 years, while Mercury’s first full week in retrograde motion in your work sector will see him align with the Sun. As if opening the doors to new beginnings and second chances on the income and work fronts at the same time isn’t enough, alliances between the two makes this a game changing week for both income and work matters.
   Virgo Monday 11 January 2016  Aug 23 - Sep 22
When Mercury retrograded back out of your work sector over the weekend, just a week after returning, this put the launch of your new working year on hold. However, Mercury’s return on the 2nd January was a premature start and with the Sun not returning until next week, this has been more a chance to get your head in the game and around your options, with the Moon’s return to your work sector on Monday a chance to process the valuable clues, hunches and insights you’ve gained. In the meantime, this has bought you time to focus on matters of the heart, home and family matters and even financial and money matters, all of which gain some incredible support this week. This is also a chance to get your personal bearings, not throwing yourself into this new working year until you have to.
   Libra Monday 11 January 2016  Sep 23 - Oct 23
Despite the fact that there is a clear message coming through that this is a week for taking the slow lane when and where you can, with little urgency in any area of your life, the one area where you are likely to be passionate, fired up and motivated is when it comes to a sense of entitlement. Whether it’s on the income front or any of life’s other currencies, if you’re not getting a fair deal and your own needs aren’t being met, you’re ready to come out of your corner fighting. For the most part however a relaxed veil spreads over almost every aspect of your life, making it hard to sweat the small stuff. You’re waking up to the fact that life is meant to be balanced, with the things close to home and your heart life’s real treasures, with a period of self discovery under way.
   Scorpio Monday 11 January 2016  Oct 24 - Nov 21
You have reached an extraordinary week for personal and professional networking and friendship building, but also for income and work matters and communication in general. In fact, things are coming together in such a way that by just the second full week of 2016 it’s clear this is not a repeat of the previous years. At the same time that the work tension of previous years just isn’t there and in its place is the support of Venus, now in her final 2 weeks in your income sector, there are exciting new opportunities opening up, even if it’s just in your own mind. This comes just as your energy levels, low for so much of the last two years, come flooding back, thanks to Mars’ return to your sign last week. The only interest you’ll now have in the past will be in catching up with old
   Sagittarius Monday 11 January 2016  Nov 22 - Dec 21
While Venus and Uranus, the planets of love and synchronicity are doing a good job of creating a magically and romantically charged week, especially over the weekend, you’ve not only got a good week for income and career matters, you’ve got an extraordinary week. I say extraordinary in terms of the auspicious developments on both fronts but also in the literal sense, in that the conditions in play on both fronts are extra ordinary. By sheer coincidence, if there is such a thing, Mercury is not only spending his first full week in retrograde motion in your income sector as lucky Jupiter is spending his first full week in retrograde motion in your career sector, but alignments on both fronts and interactions between the two hold the doors open to both new opportunities and second chances.
   Capricorn Monday 11 January 2016  Dec 22 - Jan 19
The last full week of your birthday month sees the gods multiplying the options you came into the New Year with. While the weekend’s New Moon only wraps up on Monday, one that has given you a chance to commit to your new solar year and the journey ahead, with Mercury having retrograded back into Capricorn over the weekend, a week after leaving, the doors have also opened to second chances. This comes just as Jupiter is spending his first full week in retrograde motion in an adventurous part of your chart, where while the doors are still open to new adventures the doors also open to revisiting past adventures. You haven’t even begun to explore your options and with Venus not returning to give your heart a voice until the end of next week, all you’re committing to is this discovery phase.
   Aquarius Monday 11 January 2016  Jan 20 - Feb 18
Mercury’s return to Aquarius on the 2nd January was a real advantage, giving you a chance to get your head in the game and around your options weeks before your birthday month was due to begin, but as it turned out it was a bit too soon. Having retrograded back out over the weekend Mercury has left you with ideas that you’re able to mull over, especially as the Moon moves through your sign during the early days of the week. However, in the last full week of your old solar year and with your birthday month and new solar year not beginning until next week, this is a chance to return to the drawing board. A week that brings a need for plenty of time to hear yourself think also has something special developing on the social front, with some serendipitous moments and/or encounters likely.
   Pisces Monday 11 January 2016  Feb 19 - Mar 20
There are two powerful groups of forces in play this week, that are technically fighting for your attention, but in reality are strong and robust enough in their own right that they can not only stand their ground, but there may even be some common ground. Those groups are the opportunities for friendship and relationship building, with the doors open to second chances and new opportunities on both fronts on one hand and on the other hand an auspicious partnership between income and career forces. While these two groups will be in effect all week and will mainly operate as two separate camps, they will come together to create an important week for professional friendship and relationship building. On the income and work fronts the focus is firmly on the future and what lies ahead.

January 3 2016 Weekly Horoscopes We Live by the Sun

General for Week Commencing: Monday 04 January 2016

   Aries Monday 04 January 2016  Mar 21 - Apr 19
The first full week of 2016 puts on quite a show, with two planets turning retrograde and a New Moon to get things moving as the doors open to second chances. On Wednesday, just 4 days after returning to your friendship sector Mercury turns retrograde, something that will see him retrograde back into your career sector over the weekend for a double dip visit. With Jupiter turning retrograde in your work sector on Friday, by the weekend and just over a week into 2016 the doors will be open to second chances on both the work and career fronts, while Sunday’s New Moon in your career sector will open the doors to new opportunities. There are also some big changes on the relationship and financial fronts, while a sense of wanderlust, curiosity and adventure takes on a life of its own.

   Taurus Monday 04 January 2016  Apr 20 - May 20
First impressions might suggest that your new professional year gets off to a false start, for while you’ll move into the week with the Moon and Mars in your work sector and Mercury in your career sector, by the weekend they’ll all be gone. Mercury only returned to your career sector over the weekend and you’ll barely have a chance to get your head in the game before his retrograde turn on Wednesday will see him retrograde back out over the weekend. Yet rather than a false start this is a practice run, one that manages to get your head in the game during Mars’ final days in your work sector and the final days of a 2 year mission from the professional gods. While giving your new professional year a head start, this will then buy you time to make money matters a priority.

   Gemini Monday 04 January 2016  May 21 - Jun 21
For months now and in fact for most of the last two years a battle between work and play has waged and while this ends when the Moon and Mars both leave a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart on Monday, you haven’t got this far to forget what you’re fighting for. While your new professional year gets off to an impassioned and well supported start and you have something exceptional developing on the relationship front, it will be up to you to keep your romantic and creative passions fuelled and more importantly to maintain the balance between work and play. Playful and adventurous forces in the early days of the week hold clues to what the coming weeks might hold. In the early days of 2016 the doors are open to second chances and new beginnings.

   Cancer Monday 04 January 2016  Jun 22 - Jul 22
It won’t take long to realise that while in most things 2015 is a continuation of 2016 and that professionally the roadblocks, stresses and challenges of the past are behind you, or at least they will be after one last and timely challenge is met. That challenge happens during the Moon and Mars’ final hours in your home and family sector on Monday, when an opposition with Uranus in your career sector brings work/life balance tensions to a head one last time before the forces that have been generating them for the last two years are turned off. Ironically, this happens just as you move into some exceptional weeks on the work and career fronts, but also as the Fun Police show up, not revealing that life can’t be all work and no play, but showing you how it’s done.

   Leo Monday 04 January 2016  Jul 23 - Aug 22
The biggest danger in the early days of the week is not fully appreciating just how important it is to seize an exceptional opportunity to connect and ensure the communication lines are open, especially on the relationship front. It was Mercury’s return to your relationship sector over the weekend, just 2 days before Mars and the Moon are due to leave your communication sector on Monday that has brought a golden opportunity to connect. Yet with the Moon and Mars leaving and then Mercury himself turning retrograde on Wednesday and then backing out of your relationship sector just 3 days later, this is a temporary window of opportunity. While Mars moves onto focus on home and family matters and Mercury back to give work matters a second chance, words matter in the early days of the week.

   Virgo Monday 04 January 2016  Aug 23 - Sep 22
While this might be the first full week of a brand new year, this is the week where the doors open to the past, second chances and a review phase. After nearly 5 months in your sign Jupiter turns retrograde on Friday, bringing a major 4 month review phase, something that over the coming months will require looking back through the rear view mirror, in what is an integral stage in this, the foundation year for a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion. However, despite the fact that Mercury will turn retrograde in your work sector on Wednesday, retrograding back out over the weekend, just a week after returning, life will go on. You’ve reached an important week for communication, home and family matters and also the doors open to second chances and new beginnings for matters of the heart.

   Libra Monday 04 January 2016  Sep 23 - Oct 23
A long run of continuous cosmic activity in your sign runs its course when Mars leaves your sign on Monday, bringing not only your Mars return to an end, but a period of personal growth that has been important, but has also created some personal and/or relationship tension over the last two years. This will drop back considerably, but in the process will leave you with a better sense of what you’re fighting for personally, but also a better sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. In the meantime, income matters get a massive boost as the Moon and Mars return to your income sector on Monday, one armed with a nose for money and the other with a sledgehammer and an urge to shatter some glass ceilings. There is even a new sense of romance in the air.

   Scorpio Monday 04 January 2016  Oct 24 - Nov 21
If you’ve found your energy levels lagging and feel that you’ve moved into the year with the wind gone from your sails, everything changes this week and it’s sent to have far reaching consequences. While it’s usual to have your energy levels running low in the final weeks of a Mars cycle, this was compounded by work tensions in the final months of 2015, both of which are solved by Mars’ return to your sign on Monday. Not only will this see your passions, energy levels and warrior spirit rebound, but at the same time will shut off the mechanics that have been keeping work tensions fuelled. This comes just as you’re starting to get a sense of what’s possible on the income front, with the professional and money gods both smiling on this, the first full week of 2016.

   Sagittarius Monday 04 January 2016  Nov 22 - Dec 21
Chances are there will be little taste for throwing yourself back into your new professional year or life in general, but surprisingly a lack of motivation is not caused by apathy but a new sense of calm and confidence that can see little point in knocking yourself out if you don’t have to. This is being felt on both the personal and professional fronts. Personally because Monday will see Mars return to a nostalgic, intuitive and imaginative part of your chart as the wind down to your current Mars cycle begins, but also professionally as Jupiter turns retrograde in your career sector on Friday. Yet with the doors open to second chances on the income and career fronts by the weekend, rushing through life at breakneck speed doesn’t necessarily get you anywhere.

   Capricorn Monday 04 January 2016  Dec 22 - Jan 19
While there is a need to move into the first full week of 2016 with both your money and professional hats on, by the end of the week they’ll be off. Moving into the week with the Moon and Mars in your career sector, your professional instincts sharp and your professional passions, fighting and competitive spirit fuelled, gives your new professional year a head start. However, after two years of continuous cosmic activity their departure on Monday brings a chance to take your professional hats off. Meanwhile, while Mercury’s short 7 day visit to your income sector cut short when he retrogrades back out on the weekend, this is a chance to get your head in the game and once he turns retrograde, return to the drawing board with a smart head for money and 20/20 hindsight.

   Aquarius Monday 04 January 2016  Jan 20 - Feb 18
This is one year when you may have to work harder to keep the holiday spirit alive, though as you move into the first full week of 2016 you’ve got all the support and no excuses to hide behind. As Mars leaves an adventurous part of your chart on Monday he not only wraps up his own 7 week visit, but two years of continuous cosmic activity. With things taking a professional turn this week, with your new professional year getting off to an impassioned start, find a way to hold onto a sense of wanderlust, curiosity and adventure. In the meantime, while you may be in the early weeks of a new year you’re still in the closing weeks of your old solar year, needing time to hear yourself think. You’ve also reached an important week for personal and professional networking.

   Pisces Monday 04 January 2016  Feb 19 - Mar 20
The first full week of 2016 provides an auspicious start for your new financial and professional years. For the first time in decades you’ve moved into the New Year with Venus and Saturn in your career sector and due to align over the weekend you’ll not only gain a clearer sense of what you want from this new professional year, but a growing confidence in your ability to make it happen. Meanwhile, while the Moon and Mars’ departure from your financial sector on Monday allows you to start the week with your financial instincts sharp and your financial passions and fighting spirit fuelled, this is the point where the money gods shift all their focus into income matters. A special week for friendship and relationship building will see the doors are open to second chances and new beginni
