January 10 2016 Weekly Astrology Horoscopes We Live by the Sun

General for Week Commencing: Monday 11 January 2016

   Aries Monday 11 January 2016  Mar 21 - Apr 19
It is hard to believe that we are moving into just the second full week of 2016, so much has already developed and is still developing. This week sees an extraordinary mirroring of developments on both the work and career fronts, but also the link between the two. While Mercury is spending his first full week in retrograde motion in your career sector and Jupiter his first full week in retrograde motion in your work sector, on both fronts there are not only forces in direct motion keeping an eye on the road ahead, but impressive forces in their own right. On both fronts alignments will bring the past and future together, while an alliance between these two areas of your chart will also be forged. Yet from the get go Venus will be fighting to keep a sense of adventure alive.
   Taurus Monday 11 January 2016  Apr 20 - May 20
When Mercury retrograded back out of your career sector over the weekend it might have put the launch of this new professional year on hold, but it’s given you a valuable chance to get your head in the game and around your options before the Sun returns next week. It’s the Moon’s return to your career sector in the early days of the week that brings a chance to pull all the available information together on both the work and career fronts, ready for a fresh start next week. However, apart from that this week’s stars will be doing their best to make the most of the reprieve this has given you, with an alliance of playful and adventurous forces not only coming together, but across both fronts creating an opportunity for new beginnings and second chances.
   Gemini Monday 11 January 2016  May 21 - Jun 21
From the get go it’s clear that the focus is on money matters, with the Moon wrapping up the weekend’s New Moon in your financial sector, while ensuring your financial instincts are sharp as Mercury retrogrades back in for a double dip visit. At the very point where you’re ready to commit to your new financial year, to new resolutions and the journey ahead, Mercury has opened the door to second chances and an opportunity to spend time back at the drawing board, with a smart head for money and 20/20 hindsight to draw on. By the time the Sun and Mercury align on Friday you’ll see this as a valuable dual approach. However, you’ve also reached an important week for home and family matters and an especially auspicious and serendipitous week for friendship and relationship building.
   Cancer Monday 11 January 2016  Jun 22 - Jul 22
As is often the case it’s the Moon’s movements as you track through the week that will make an already vibrant week even more vibrant, managing to cross the points where some remarkable conditions are playing out, exaggerating your emotional responses and giving you an intuitive read on the things you need to pay attention to. You’ll begin the week with the Moon in your relationship sector, wrapping up the weekend’s New Moon just as Mercury has returned, together opening the door to new beginnings and second chances. Yet on Monday, two days after Mercury retrograded back out of your financial sector, the Moon will return to make sense of a short period of discovery before the Sun returns next week. The Moon will then continue to track an important week for both work and career matters.
   Leo Monday 11 January 2016  Jul 23 - Aug 22
While an alliance between Venus and Uranus will do its best to keep a sense of romance and playfulness alive, something that will really come into its own over the weekend, the week itself is dominated by not only an alliance between income and work forces, but some extraordinary conditions that are mirrored on both fronts. For as Jupiter spends his first full week in retrograde motion in your income sector he’ll align with the North Node here for the first time in 36 years, while Mercury’s first full week in retrograde motion in your work sector will see him align with the Sun. As if opening the doors to new beginnings and second chances on the income and work fronts at the same time isn’t enough, alliances between the two makes this a game changing week for both income and work matters.
   Virgo Monday 11 January 2016  Aug 23 - Sep 22
When Mercury retrograded back out of your work sector over the weekend, just a week after returning, this put the launch of your new working year on hold. However, Mercury’s return on the 2nd January was a premature start and with the Sun not returning until next week, this has been more a chance to get your head in the game and around your options, with the Moon’s return to your work sector on Monday a chance to process the valuable clues, hunches and insights you’ve gained. In the meantime, this has bought you time to focus on matters of the heart, home and family matters and even financial and money matters, all of which gain some incredible support this week. This is also a chance to get your personal bearings, not throwing yourself into this new working year until you have to.
   Libra Monday 11 January 2016  Sep 23 - Oct 23
Despite the fact that there is a clear message coming through that this is a week for taking the slow lane when and where you can, with little urgency in any area of your life, the one area where you are likely to be passionate, fired up and motivated is when it comes to a sense of entitlement. Whether it’s on the income front or any of life’s other currencies, if you’re not getting a fair deal and your own needs aren’t being met, you’re ready to come out of your corner fighting. For the most part however a relaxed veil spreads over almost every aspect of your life, making it hard to sweat the small stuff. You’re waking up to the fact that life is meant to be balanced, with the things close to home and your heart life’s real treasures, with a period of self discovery under way.
   Scorpio Monday 11 January 2016  Oct 24 - Nov 21
You have reached an extraordinary week for personal and professional networking and friendship building, but also for income and work matters and communication in general. In fact, things are coming together in such a way that by just the second full week of 2016 it’s clear this is not a repeat of the previous years. At the same time that the work tension of previous years just isn’t there and in its place is the support of Venus, now in her final 2 weeks in your income sector, there are exciting new opportunities opening up, even if it’s just in your own mind. This comes just as your energy levels, low for so much of the last two years, come flooding back, thanks to Mars’ return to your sign last week. The only interest you’ll now have in the past will be in catching up with old
   Sagittarius Monday 11 January 2016  Nov 22 - Dec 21
While Venus and Uranus, the planets of love and synchronicity are doing a good job of creating a magically and romantically charged week, especially over the weekend, you’ve not only got a good week for income and career matters, you’ve got an extraordinary week. I say extraordinary in terms of the auspicious developments on both fronts but also in the literal sense, in that the conditions in play on both fronts are extra ordinary. By sheer coincidence, if there is such a thing, Mercury is not only spending his first full week in retrograde motion in your income sector as lucky Jupiter is spending his first full week in retrograde motion in your career sector, but alignments on both fronts and interactions between the two hold the doors open to both new opportunities and second chances.
   Capricorn Monday 11 January 2016  Dec 22 - Jan 19
The last full week of your birthday month sees the gods multiplying the options you came into the New Year with. While the weekend’s New Moon only wraps up on Monday, one that has given you a chance to commit to your new solar year and the journey ahead, with Mercury having retrograded back into Capricorn over the weekend, a week after leaving, the doors have also opened to second chances. This comes just as Jupiter is spending his first full week in retrograde motion in an adventurous part of your chart, where while the doors are still open to new adventures the doors also open to revisiting past adventures. You haven’t even begun to explore your options and with Venus not returning to give your heart a voice until the end of next week, all you’re committing to is this discovery phase.
   Aquarius Monday 11 January 2016  Jan 20 - Feb 18
Mercury’s return to Aquarius on the 2nd January was a real advantage, giving you a chance to get your head in the game and around your options weeks before your birthday month was due to begin, but as it turned out it was a bit too soon. Having retrograded back out over the weekend Mercury has left you with ideas that you’re able to mull over, especially as the Moon moves through your sign during the early days of the week. However, in the last full week of your old solar year and with your birthday month and new solar year not beginning until next week, this is a chance to return to the drawing board. A week that brings a need for plenty of time to hear yourself think also has something special developing on the social front, with some serendipitous moments and/or encounters likely.
   Pisces Monday 11 January 2016  Feb 19 - Mar 20
There are two powerful groups of forces in play this week, that are technically fighting for your attention, but in reality are strong and robust enough in their own right that they can not only stand their ground, but there may even be some common ground. Those groups are the opportunities for friendship and relationship building, with the doors open to second chances and new opportunities on both fronts on one hand and on the other hand an auspicious partnership between income and career forces. While these two groups will be in effect all week and will mainly operate as two separate camps, they will come together to create an important week for professional friendship and relationship building. On the income and work fronts the focus is firmly on the future and what lies ahead.
